crossing the reflection

Another beautiful day at Vermilion Lakes.

Hidden in this photograph is a herd of elk crossing the lake. In the center of the photograph between the light brown grass and the green trees are the animals. I had left my telephoto lens back in the hotel room and was kicking myself when I saw them crossing. I made the most of the situation as I could. Lesson learned, never leave home without the telephoto.
